The platinum jubilee of the first successful climb of K2 will be held in July 2024. The main event will include
the launching of the first Pakistani Women Expedition on K2 in summer. Ten years after the first
expedition of Pakistani climbers, all males, to K2. In recent years an important, passionate and prepared
group of mountaineers women has grown up in Pakistan and in particular in the valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan.
